Links with Employers

At Birches Head Academy, we forge a range of relationships with businesses, colleges and Universities. We do this in order to ensure that our pupils are given a full range of information in order to make choice filled lives. We do this through mock interviews, careers fairs and carousels, workshops, assemblies, ambition days and by inviting guest speakers into the Academy.

We welcome any opportunity to work with our local and national businesses and institutions. The introduction of the Gatsby Benchmarks allows us to use theses links with employers to work together in creative ways to ensure students are aware of the opportunities around them and are work-ready.

Our curriculum is designed so that we are able to provide each year group from 7-11 one or more meaningful encounter with an employer so that pupils have “an opportunity to learn about what work is like or what it takes to be successful in the workplace.’
