Year 6 to 7 Transitions: Welcome to Birches Head Academy
One of the main purposes of Transition is to start to familiarise yourself the school and the staff that will be working with you and your child.
During the Transition into Year 7, parents and students will be given information about the pastoral support systems in the Academy. You will also be given practical information such as where to find school policies, expectations within the Academy and information about ongoing communication with us.
The Transition process will be complimented by an ‘all you need to know’ guide that will be sent to you in the post. This guide should help to answer any questions that you have. It is an invaluable guide for parents which contains important information about all aspects of life here at Birches Head Academy. It should become your ‘go to’ handbook when you have further questions throughout the year.
