FFET Awards

We aim to create a culture where students and staff flourish in safety and dignity. We have developed a rewards system that recognises students positive behaviours at all times.

Our rewards system celebrates positive attitudes to learning and ensures all students have the opportunity to have their efforts and achievements recognised in line with our moral values and LORIC skills. We have a range of ways in which we recognise and celebrate students achievements.

FFET Awards

The FFET awards are our flagship reward and has been created to record and celebrate students’ achievements as they journey through the different stages of Academy life. Students will have the opportunity to develop their cultural capital experiences through Social and Intellectual Capital opportunities. A series of challenges which students are rewarded for upon completion have been devised and students can gain points through our knowledge rich curriculum, as well as our Be More Curriculum. Students will receive an FFET Award at three different levels of challenge in each of the different stages (Gold, Silver or Bronze level). Our aim is that all children will go for Gold at every stage.

In each Learning programme students are provided with a series of challenges or opportunities to earn points toward an FFET Award. Every curriculum area sets an FFET award task and promotes it during the learning cycle. Heads of Learning also set a range of challenges within each Learning Programme Cycle. Students can also use their ClassCharts points to use towards their FFET Award. We map the challenges on an online interactive platform where students have access to view their progress.

In addition to the FFET Awards, we celebrate students achievements and behaviours in the following ways:

  • Awards Evening – We encourage the recognition of sustained achievement and effort by individual students through the presentation of a range of awards at the Annual Presentation Evening, where achievements are celebrated in a public forum with parents, staff, governors, and a guest speaker.
  • Rewards Assemblies – To celebrate success and reward achievement, students will attend a Rewards Assembly at the end of each half term. This is an important highlight of the calendar for both students and their teachers. Certificates and prizes are awarded for attendance, punctuality, FFET Awards, and achievement in individual subjects. There are also special Form Tutor awards and Heads of Year awards.
  • Principal’s lunches – This recognises achievement each LP based on Class Chart points.
