Dangers of Button Batteries – Year Group Assemblies

This week, students at the Academy are taking part in assemblies to highlight the dangers of button batteries. Harper-Lee Fanthorpe, 2, from Stoke-on-Trent, died after swallowing a button battery from a remote control. The battery slid easily from its holder, and she was able to ingest it.
