Dear Parent/ Carer

As the end of term draws nearer, I want to thank you all for your unwavering support whilst we react to COVID cases and continue to engage your child in learning.

Following the recent announcement from the Government, I wanted to write to update you on what this means for September 2021.

• We will no longer be required to operate with year group bubbles, however we will be keeping social time zoning as both staff and students have benefitted from this.
• Ventilation and regular hand washing will continue.
• Face masks will not be required and
• Social distancing will not be enforced.

The other aspect of the new Government guidance for September is that students should be tested on two occasions between 3 and 5 days apart. As such we will be allowed a staggered start to accommodate this. This is a similar process to when we returned after he second lockdown in March. We are currently devising these arrangements and will update you next week with the full details.

Please enjoy your weekend and ensure that you complete a lateral flow test on a Sunday evening. All results should be registered as per the instruction booklet on the government website.

There has been a lot of excitement in school this week about England’s progress to the final of the Euro’s on Sunday. Let’s hope it really is “coming home”.
