Dear Parents and Carers,

I am writing to inform you of an important leadership change at Birches Head Academy.

From September, Mr Paul Masher will take up the role of Executive Headteacher at both Birches Head Academy and our sister school, The Ellesmere Port Church of England College.

In this role, Mr Masher will continue to provide strategic leadership across both schools, building on the significant contribution he has already made to the improvement and development of Birches Head Academy. His extensive experience within The Frank Field Education Trust will help ensure continuity, stability and a continued focus on delivering the best possible outcomes for all students.

Mr Masher will be supported by Ms Louise Toach, who will take up the role of Head of School at Birches Head Academy. Ms Toach has been a valued member of the Academy’s leadership team for a number of years and has made a significant contribution to the school’s success.

Many of you will already know her, and I am confident that she will continue to provide strong day-to-day leadership and support for our students, staff and wider school community.

These appointments reflect our ongoing commitment to ensuring that Birches Head Academy continues to thrive and build upon its successes. We are excited about the opportunities this leadership structure will bring and look forward to continuing our work with families to provide the very best education and support for all our students.
