Dear Parents / Carers,

Transition Evening at BHA – Tuesday 2nd July 2024 6-7pm

We are looking forward to welcoming you to BHA on Tuesday 2nd July 2024 for our transition evening for Year 6 pupils who will be joining us in September. To ensure that we can accommodate all children and families, we have split the evening into two sessions and ask that you arrive at the times indicated below. Please note, we are only able to accommodate a maximum of two adults per child and we ask that no other siblings / children attend on the night.

Session 1: Surname initials A-M Please arrive at 5:45pm for a prompt 6pm start.

Session 2: Surname initials N-Z please arrive at 6:20pm for a prompt 6:30pm start.

To support your child’s transition from primary to secondary school, vital information will be shared with you from our Principal, Mr Masher, alongside updates from other key staff, and you will also have the opportunity to meet your child’s Form Tutor.

Following this Transition Evening, which is aimed at providing you with key information, your child will be with us for their two transition days, which will take place on Wednesday 3rd July and Thursday 4th July.  We ask that your child wears their Primary School uniform on both days and arrive at our Main Entrance at 9:00am and they will be dismissed from the same area at 2.00pm.  Please ensure that your child understands the arrangements that you have made for their departure and whether they are being collected or are making their own way home.

All pupils will be welcomed by Mr Masher in their first BHA assembly and participate in taster lessons which will give them a taste of life as a BHA pupil and experience our high standards and expectations to support them in preparation for a positive start in September. All pupils will be provided with a school meal, free of charge, from our Dining Hall if they so wish to sample our menu, although pupils are welcome to bring their own packed lunch if they prefer.
