Transition Days at BHA – Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd July 2025 9.00-2.30pm
We hope that you are enjoying your final half term at your Primary School and are looking forward to your two transition days at BHA, which will take place on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd July. You are to arrive at our Main Entrance at 9:00am and you will be greeted by BHA Staff and members of our Pupil Leadership Team, who will direct you to our Main Hall.
You will be welcomed in the Main Hall by Mr Masher, where you will then experience your first BHA assembly and hear more about our values and how we will challenge you to Aspire to Be More. After the assembly, you will experience some taster lessons and have opportunity to get to know your Form Tutor and other pupils in your Form. The purpose of the day is to give you a taste of life as a BHA pupil, experience our high standards and expectations, and connect with staff and pupils in preparation for a positive start in September.
All pupils are to wear their normal Primary School uniform on Day 1 (Wednesday) and on Day 2 (Thursday) we will be outside for a large chunk of the day, so you are to wear your school PE kit and wear appropriate trainers for some practical activities. If it is hot weather you are to bring a hat, suncream and a water bottle.
On both days, our fantastic Catering Team will provide all pupils with break snacks and a lunch, free of charge, from our Dining Hall, with vegetarian & Halal options available. You’re welcome to bring your own packed lunch if you prefer, but no fizzy or high energy drinks are allowed. Water bottles are encouraged.
At the end of each day, you will be dismissed from the Main Hall and exit from the Main Entrance at 2.30pm.
Staff and Pupil Leaders will be on hand again to support you and you are to know the arrangements made with your parents / carers and if you are being collected or are making your own way home. If you are walking home with older siblings in BHA, Staff will supervise you in the Main Hall until 3:10pm.
Transition Evening for Parents / Carers at BHA – Wednesday 2nd July 2025 5.30-6.30pm
Parents/Carers: We’re looking forward to welcoming you back to BHA on Wednesday 2nd July 2025 for our Transition Evening. To ensure that we can accommodate all children and families, please note, we are only able to accommodate a maximum of two adults per child and we ask that no other siblings/children attend.
We will update you on the successes from Day 1 and to support your child’s transition to BHA, vital information will be shared with you from Mr Masher and you will also have the opportunity to meet your child’s Form Tutor who will talk you through in small groups what to expect in September. We will also be sharing details of our Open Mornings, where you can come to visit during the day, visit lessons and see us in action.
